Vicky Lefebvre
Experienced and Community-Focused

As a team player with 15-years experience on Council, I will
dedicate my time to serving the community, and ensuring Cold
Lake remains the best place to live, work, raise a family or retire.
I commit to representing you, the citizens of Cold Lake, honestly and
respectfully. I will continue to work for you and advocate for the
continued growth, safety, and welfare of our community, including
the following areas of high importance:

Support First Responders, community groups and organizations who work to enhance the safety of our community:
-
Advocate all levels of government for the elimination of “Catch and Release” policies
-
Collaborate with regional municipalities, partners and community organizations to identify gaps in services and find resources to assist those in need.

Support local and provincial Health Care initiatives:
-
Expand the Cold Lake Medical Clinic;
-
Recruit and retain Doctors and other medical professions;
-
Research public and/or private partnerships to source medical equipment (MRI, etc.);
-
Work with Regional Hubs to share medical resources.
-
Promote Economic Development and Tourism:
-
Continue the Kinosoo Beach and Lakeshore enhancement;
-
Work with our business community to address their needs;
-
Maximize the use of our sports facilities and fields;
-
Lobby for the expansion of Hwy 28.
-
Highlight our educational facilities and post-secondary opportunities:
-
Promote life-long learning in our community;
-
Expand Portage College;
-
Open and growth Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Structures (AME-S) program.

Maintain positive relationships with regional partners, City administration and staff:
-
Focus on community well-being, development, and future planning;
-
Communicate clear and attainable goals;
-
Uphold responsible allocation of public funds,
-
Complete the Public Works building.
I am a long-time resident of Cold Lake, I’ve been married 51 years to Gilles Lefebvre.
(Lefebvre - one of Cold Lake’s founding families), and we have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. Raised with traditional family values, a strong work ethic and strong faith.
My 33 years experience in banking, 10 as Branch Manager, enables me to use my background to assist the City in being fiscally accountable.
Currently, I serve on the Lakeland Catholic School Board (24+ years), Grand Centre Lions Club (25+ years), and the Northern Lights Library System (9+ years).
I assisted in coordination of community enhancing events, such as the unifying our three communities by organizing the city celebration in 2000.
I have volunteered with many community events and have a combined total of 44+ years Board and Committee experience over for numerous non-profit organizations, including Community Futures, Chamber of Commerce, Cold Women of Influence, St. Dominic’s Parish Pastoral Council, Cold Lake FCSS, Police Committee, City of Cold Lake Library,
Regional Utilities Services Commission, as well as several school and City Council committees.
